CHINA, INDIA CLASH IN LADAKH, WHY? Reasons, Facts & Untold Story.

KARACHI CHINA, INDIA CLASH IN LADAKH, WHY? Reasons, Facts & Untold Story.

Bismillahirahmaanirrahim. Assal'Aam Alaikum.

CHINA and INDIA!

Their border stretches up to 3,488 km.

Their border consists of a lot of disputed areas.

For example, Ladakh, which is known as heaven on earth.

Ladakh is claimed by China and obviously India too, as it is part of the Indian occupied Kashmir.

Second example would be Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, which China claims is a part of Southern Tibet.

Anyways, about Arunachal, its dispute, and other disputes in specific, we will talk some other time. Today, let's talk about LADAKH, its dispute, and what happened on border there, in specific.

On Ladakh's border, 20 Indian soldiers were killed.

This happened on India China Ladakh border, precisely known as Line of Actual Control (LAC)

Do remember that unlike Indo Pak border, Indo China border is not referred to as Line of Control (LOC), but rather to as Line of Actual Control (LAC).

The reason being that unlike Indo Pak border, Indo China border has a lot of undefined, unclear, grey area, which is why it is called LAC.

And this dates back to 1962 Sino China war and even back!

So, the question arises that if Indo China borders have always been unclear and undefined, then what is the problem now all of a sudden? Especially considering that not even a single bullet has been fired since 1975 between them. Though bullet wasn't fired even this time, but deaths took place.

The answer is quite simple, China and India have had basic differences, but now they are rapidly rising.

The main reason for this is, Darbuk Shyok Daulat Beg Oldie (DSDBO) road.

This is a series of STRATEGIC ROADS which India has almost completed now.

These are 255 km long!

Where are these? These are primarily situated in Ladakh.

China says that via these roads India is not only entering and breaching the LAC grey area, but also entering within the Chinese territory, which India declines.

So, what will happen with these roads?

These STRATEGIC ROADS may greatly benefit India.

Firstly, India will get really close to China's Aksai Chin, as it would be only 10 km away from these roads.

Secondly, these strategic roads will be in parallel to the Chinese strategic highway of G216, which connect Chinese province Xinjiang to Tibet.

Thirdly, these roads may spoil China's Ladakh dream, because these roads would eventually drive China's Xinjiang province's Tarim Basin area away from Ladakh.

Last but not the least, these DSDBO roads would ensure that Ladakh's capital Leh would only be 20 km away from Karakoram pass.

While China would never want this, because China has invested so much in Karakoram, it is CPEC's backbone and it is shortest route of trade from China to Gwadar.

Because India is doing further construction, of more bridges, etc, so China has now brought in thousands of troops on LAC, and so has China.

Also, via these roads, it has become easier for India to transfer arms and do patrolling.

The first standoff between these nations this year happened on 05th May, which went viral on internet, followed by 09th May, and now this one, which has been most serious thus far.

All this while, their governments and military officials seemed to be having table talks.

But, actually, while talks were going,  India's Border Road Organization said that it would fasten up construction work, for which more than 11,000 additional labor has been immediately called and further would be called soon, because India is realizing that this has to be completed before China gets more active.

If you remember, when India had aborgated Article 370 of Jammu & Kashmir last year, China had protested.

It was not solely because of Pakistan, China was actually protesting because Ladakh was also made a Union territory by India, and China as we discussed claims Ladakh.

And as we have discussed thus far, everything in this standoff is revolving around LADAKH.

So, the question is, what is China now gonna do?

See, China categorically understands that India can't afford to have a war at this moment, because of reasons as follows:

Firstly, because India having lowest GDP in a decade, i.e. 5%, is in an economic crises.

Secondly, India has internally heavily invested its resources in Occupied Kashmir.

Thirdly, India is facing virus and its positive numbers are rapidly growing and economy is in lockdown.

China being a virtual superpower, knows this all well, and is having a show of power, giving a message of its capabilities.

Moreover, China is squaring up India from multiple fronts simultaneously.

The reason being that, for example, we all know, India opposes Diamer Bhasha dam because it is in Gilgit,

which India claims, China has recently not only rejected Indian claims but also agreed to construct it jointly with Pakistan, which is indeed historical cooperation between China Pakistan.

Thirdly, another example could be that,

if you remember, last month, Indian Defence minister inaugurated LIPULEKH PASS, which connects New Delhi to Tibet, constructed for the Hindu pilgrims going there.

This Lipulekh and Kalapani is disputed between Nepal and India, Nepal shockingly immediately protested against this unilateral action.

This was shocking because Nepal is considerably a smaller country which has historically relied on India.

Nepal followed this up with a stronger response by issuing a new map within a month, showing these areas as its territories.

There is a theory that behind this tough stance of Nepal, there can be China.

Because, the Nepalese communist party that was formed in 2018 is right now the ruling party of Nepal, and it is said that the party is well backed by China.

Thus, China may be squaring up India quite well, considering that currently India is economically, strategically and foreign policy wise as well, weak.

While, China is economically, strategically & regionally strong, and China knows that it is a virtual super power.
